Introduction to the ZeroIn Laser Rangefinder
Today, I’m taking an in-depth look at the brand new ZeroIn laser rangefinder from GOGOGO. They’re calling this the rangefinder of the next generation, and it has already won awards for its design and styling!
I want to test this to find out if this could be a game changer for golfers on a budget who do not want to compromise on features or accuracy.
First Impressions and Unboxing
Straight out of the gate, I’m impressed with the packaging—it looks and feels premium. Upon opening the box, the first thing that catches my eye is the sleek, pure white carry case with a water-resistant zip, designed to keep the device dry on the course.
It’s completely smooth, except for the slightly raised logo. I’d be concerned about it retaining its bright white color on the course, but its initial appearance is excellent.
Design and Usability
A first look at the rangefinder reveals a stylish navy and white contrasting colorway, (also available in black). The chrome finish around the front adds a cool touch. It’s notably smaller and lighter compared to previous models like the V PRO and the GS03, and even more compact than the Shot Scope Pro ZR, which makes it an ideal choice if portability is a priority for you.
Despite its smaller size, it feels easy to handle and carry. The ergonomic design includes grips that feel comfortable and sturdy, suitable for use with one or two hands.
Technical Features and Performance
The ZeroIn is straightforward to operate with just two buttons—the power/wake button and the mode button to switch between units and control the slope function. It offers three mode options: golf, disc golf, and hunting. I tested it in golf mode, which can read distances up to 1500 yards, locking onto the flag from up to 500 yards away with a vibration feature to assist aiming.
Its quality is impressive, offering 6x magnification, and the clear LCD display provides an improved and more readable interface. Even on a sunny UK morning, I had no issues locking onto the flag.

Comparative Analysis and Practical Use
I compared the rangefinder’s measurements with my GPS watch and found the readings from the ZeroIn consistently accurate.
For example, a shot estimated at 90 yards by the GPS watch came back as 86.2 on the ZeroIn, which felt accurate given the pin position.
Another shot estimated at 150 yards by the watch showed 153.9 on the rangefinder, closely matching where my shot actually landed.
Additional Features
The device includes a strong magnetic strip, now seemingly standard in rangefinders, making it convenient for use with a cart. It’s USB-C rechargeable, and GOGOGO claim it can last up to 5000 measurements on a single charge. I’ve used it across three rounds on one charge and it’s performed really well.
Accuracy and Technology
GOGOGO introduces their new True Measure technology with the ZeroIn, boasting distance readings up to 2500 yards and incredibly fast response times—measurements are reported to take only 0.038 seconds. The adjustable slope technology is also a key feature, allowing the device to be used in competitions with the slope function turned off.
ZeroIn Laser Rangefinder: Conclusions and Recommendations
I’ve tested every Gogogogo rangefinder model to date and can confidently say this is the best one yet. While there are more expensive models on the market with supposedly better tech and accuracy, the ZeroIn impresses and competes well, even against devices priced much higher.
Currently, this rangefinder is priced at $149 (or £118), and with an exclusive discount code FUNGOLF, you can save an additional 5%.
If you’re looking for a top-tier budget-friendly rangefinder, the ZeroIn should definitely be on your list. However, if you’re still on the fence, I recommend checking out more detailed reviews and comparisons detailed in the video below.
